In Postgresql, date_trunc is used to extract and truncate the specific datepart ( level of precision ) of the date and time like second, minutes, hour, week, etc. It's bad practice but you might be forgiven if you use. This is a timestamp with time zone value which refers in fact to 23:59:59 on sunday, but with 2 hours of difference with UTC time, depends on your locale and settings.
